Final Project Presentation Guidelines
36-315: Statistical Graphics and Visualization, Summer 2026
Important information
Due Wednesday, June 17 at 11:59pm.
You are required to record a short video presentation, which should be at most 5 minutes.
You can record the presentation using Zoom and share the recording.
Acceptable video submission formats: a Google Drive link, a Zoom cloud recording link, or a YouTube link.
You must use slides for the presentation, and CANNOT just walk through your html report.
- Slides may be created in any software.
The presentation should effectively summarize the motivating questions, analyses, and takeaways of your project.
Rubric
Was the presentation at most 5 minutes in length?(5pts, all or nothing)
Did you actually present rather than just reading straight from notes?(5pts, all or nothing)
Did you provide a clear description of the dataset?(0–10pts)
Did you clearly state the questions you would like to answer?(0–10pts)
Did you showcase high-quality graphics (correctly labeled, interpretable, and informative)?(0–20pts)
Did you clearly explain/interpret your graphics, and pinpoint their main takeaways?(0–15pts)
Were the graphics (and their main takeaways) relevant to your questions?(0–15pts)
Did you provide clear conclusions based on your graphics and analyses?(0–10pts)
What was the overall quality of your slides? Were the slides high-quality and visually appealing?(0–10pts)
